About

Genealogy Gophers has the most easily searched and retrieved family history information on the Web.  Their online library is comprised of more than 40,000 digitized publications, including family and regional history books, genealogy magazines and newsletters, and medieval histories.  Their online search tools are based on artificial intelligence algorithms that significantly increase the changes of finding relevant search term matches.  For quick relevancy checking, each potential search match includes both the publication title that is found and a snippet of the page containing the highlighted search term.  Relevant pages and books can then be downloaded for free from the GenGophers.com website.

I found some interesting sources for one of my relatives but didn’t see a way to download the page or the book. Is this not functioning yet?

You can download a book by clicking on the “Download PDF” link just above the book viewer. It’s best to right-click on the link and select “Save link as” to save the PDF to your computer.

On your home page, I typed in a name, dates, a relative, and a place and hit search. Nothing happened. No message saying n/a etc.
    Is your website down or?
    thank you

Not sure why you’re not getting any hits. The site appears to be working for me, and I’m getting feedback from others that it is working for them. I’m curious to find out the problem. Does it work if you try a different browser?

I have the same issue with Firefox and Chrome browsers. Clicking the search button does nothing.

Hmm, it’s working fine for me. In Chrome, if you right-click on the page, select Inspect, then click on the Console tab, then do a search, do you see any red text? If so, if you’ll send it to me I’ll see if I can figure out why search isn’t working for you.

Thanks for the reply. Looks like it’s due to javascript trackers on your website. I haven’t changed or added anything to my browsers and this issue was not previously a problem.
